I took loads of pictures and we saw plenty. I spent far too much and bought plenty of new yarn and quirky little accessories. So, I have loads of pictures, galleries and purchases to share with you. It was a two week holiday so bear with me...plenty of nice pictures and then my purchases to follow.
We saw plenty of castles, more than I can count, but all had beautiful views...this one was taken at Threave Castle.

This totally quirky caravan at Hoddom Castle caravan park (Dumfries)
Bright fishing boats in the harbour in Oban
Quirky souvenirs at St Andrews Castle
And a really cute toilet (of all things) in a pub in Newburgh. After frequenting this toilet on the way back from St Andrews (whilst staying in Perth) we found THE MOST amazing shop I have ever found and which now I am completely in love with!
Kit&Caboodle is a vintage/furniture/textile/Treasure Trove, I took loads of pictures and the lady who owns it was so kind and friendly.
Cushion by local artist, detail (above). Dress and following furniture by the same artist
The ship that just grabbed the boyfriends attention, was purchased for £23 and was consequently cradled all the way home with loving care!
And finally the bird box I wish I had bought!
Fabhatrix, a very snazzy hat shop- so cute and quirky!
A craft fair (below) that we found as part of the Edinburgh Fringe festival, a few purchases came from here...post coming soon!
Bits and bobs from the Owl and Lion Gallery
And finally the blue fronted shop (above) is K1 Yarns. A very nice knitting boutique with a very helpful lady and great customer service selling Scottish and other luxury yarns.
These are just a sprinkling of images, there are plenty more on my Flickr site which you can visit by clicking the link on the side of my blog. I'm off to take some pics of my purchases which I will share later.
